Kara Gouveia

Hi! I’m Kara, Interior Alignment Practitioner and Owner of Interior Alchemie. My mission is to empower clients to transform their lives by connecting to their homes. Homes have such undiscovered power and I will help you discover the power of yours!

As a child, I had the freedom to design my room as often as I wanted. I spent my free time drawing blueprints of houses and cutting pictures to make design boards. Initially, in college, I selected Interior Design as my major. As a freshman, I realized that although I was learning the rules of how to design, It felt disconnected from nature and the world around me. Anthropology felt like a better fit: I focused on how culture influences how we perceive the world, the different methods of healing, and how nature plays a central role in every culture. With a focus in Women’s Health, I graduated and decided to become a Birth Doula as a way to support women and families through an important rite of passage in their lives.

Empowering women and families led me to work with foster youth. For the past eight years, I have worked with youth who have experienced trauma and need safety. I have learned how safety is not just physical; if we feel safe, we can be vulnerable, heal, and express our body, mind and spirit. Through work, I discovered my personal passion of creating safe healing spaces. I have cleared group homes with the intention of joy and healing, and guided children through ceremonies to help release, clear, discover intention and, ultimately, heal.

My journey to empower people to heal came full circle with Interior Alignment. Our homes are templates for our lives, and we can create deeply rooted change through transforming our environments. Intentional spaces lay the framework for what we want to achieve in our homes, businesses, relationships and connection to spirit. As an Interior Alignment practitioner, I support and empower clients through Instinctive Feng Shui™, Seven Star Blessing Space Clearing™ and Holistic Clutter Clearing. Services are person centered and customized to fit your needs.

When not working with clients, I am an avid fitness, health, meditation and nature lover. Spending time outdoors and seeking out water is a must for me! I also create intentional jewelry inspired by nature, the five elements and transformation.
