Color and Interior Alignment Consultations
by Diantha Harris
Most of us who practice Interior Alignment® have soft spots in our hearts for certain practices and elements we use in our businesses. It could be plants and landscaping, candles and flowers, space clearing and visualizations, essential oils and flower essences and much more. Color is my favorite thing, and yet the more I use color, the more I see how it relates to all of the above.
For example, the color sprays I make are created from elixirs made from gems, flower essences, essential oils and a little bit of magic thrown in. They came about when I was teaching about color and wanted a simple way to give my students and clients access to the essence of each color without having to spend a lot of money or go to any great lengths to have just the right color for their support and transition. So this method alone brings in the fields of gems, flowers and plants.
But there are literally hundreds of ways to bring color into the mix without having to paint. When I recommend a color or group of colors that someone might use for healing, they always have a pained expression on their faces until I say, “You don’t have to repaint your house!” Chances are, whatever modality calls to you can be used to create the essence of the color that you need.
For example, let’s say you love rocks and minerals. You can let your Interior Alignment® Practitioner know this. Your practitioner will be asking questions about your life, and it might indicate that you need blue for support and wish to use minerals for support. Our expertise in this field will lead us to select just the right stone for you ranging from calcedony to blue topaz but the stone will exhibit the hues, intensity of hue, and spectrum of blues that will support best.
What about flowers? If you the client loves gardening or fresh flowers, and needs orange, perhaps your Interior Alignment Practitioner will recommend poppies, or marigolds, or orange lilies. Or maybe you really do want to paint a room and we help you select a beautiful low VOC paint that will be able to support you in the change you are seeking.
Another favorite way I like to work with color is teaching people how to breathe color. An easy way to do this is to visualize themselves in a bubble of color that they need. Having them breath the color in and fill their body with it strengthens them. I have them exhale their stress or problem and have them imagine that the exhale transforms into a bubble of white light that floats up and out into the Universe, completely transformed into beautiful white light.
Simply breathing the color in and out relaxes them and as the color enters their body it begins its transformational process. The more they do this, the faster the process is. This too, is something they always have with them no matter where they go. One can do color breathing standing in line at the grocery, or sitting on a bus going to work, or in a waiting room at the doctor’s, or waiting for a flight to board. Anywhere, anytime. Color is a powerful energy tool that can be used so may ways!
